Flood-control reservoir Jelení

Characteristics: The purpose of the project was to reduce flood-level flow rates, limit movement of sediments and protected built-up areas in the  municipality of Karlovice from the adverse effects of flood-level flows caused by local torrential rainfall to a level corresponding to the design flow rate of Qn = 33.5 m3/s. 

Investor: Povodí Odry, státní podnik

Locality: Moravian-Silesian Region, the Kobylí stream

The reservoir transforms the outflow to the design PV100 na Qneš = 4.41 m3/s. 
The project included a costly modification of the transport  solution consisting in the abandonment and replacement of the  existing road No. II/452.
