Construction of a natural and recreational area between Dolní Heršpice and Přízřenice

Investor: Statutory City of Brno
Locality: Brno
Watercourse: Svratka in the river km 32,480 to 32,980

Project description:
The documentation concerned the design of  Natural Recreation Area on the right-bank inundation areas upstream the Přízřenice dam. The area is designed on the existing and future lowered areas of the right bank inundation of the Svratka river. The lowered areas are designed as a large water biotope which will result in increased retention capacity of the entire area. The excavated material will be partly removed, and the excess soil will be deposited in flood protection barriers and used for landscaping in the form of earth-fill structures modelling the local flat landscape. The design concerns concrete bridges as well as wooden elements in the area such as piers, footbridges and a sheltered stage. The project deals with revitalization of abandoned greenhouse landfill and construction of a flood protection park in the existing agricultural area.
