The work concerned preparation of close to nature and technical measures for critically vulnerable locations and land blocks in the Švihov catchment area within the scope of type A measure sheets. The measures are proposed in an area of approx. 46,500 ha and include measures for surface water run-off as well as measures for subsurface run-off in drainage systems. In general, this covers 2 - 10 measures in an area of about 50 ha. The work includes the following:
• Update, expansion and certification of methodological guidelines for the "Preparation of type A measure sheets for localities facing non-point agricultural pollution in river sub-basin plans". The methodology deals with the identification of critical points and categorization of localities threatened by pollution caused by surface and subsurface agricultural sources in the whole of the Czech Republic in a level of detail needed to draw up the type A measure sheets.
• Updates and preparation of the "Catalogue of measures for type A measure sheets for localities facing non-point agricultural pollution for the sub-basin plans".
• Preparation of measure sheets and model assessment of the effectiveness of proposed measures related to the Švihov water reservoir catchment with the expected implementation of all measures in the catchment area These measures address ,in particular, infiltration, retention and accumulation of water, elimination of pesticides in drainage systems and reduction in erosion on agricultural land and in the landscape.
• Seminars and discussions over the proposed measures with entities managing the affected land.
Parameters:
The entire area allocated for the proposed measures: approx. 46,500 ha, of which 35,400 ha allocated for measures related to surface run-off and 11,100 ha for groundwater flows in drainage systems
Work provided by AQUATIS:
• Cooperation on the development and certification of methodological guidelines
• Cooperation on the development of the Catalogue of measures
• Preparation of measure sheets concerning surface run-off
• Model assessment of the effectiveness of proposed measures
• Discussion of proposed measures with relevant entities
