Landscape study of the administrative district of Blansko (municipality with extended powers)

The aim of the project was to develop a comprehensive conceptual document concerning landscape planning for the area covered by municipality of Blansko This is a comprehensive study systematically addressing the entire area of interest. A multidisciplinary approach to landscape solutions has been employed especially in undeveloped areas using the coordination tasks of spatial planning. The study includes a stage of surveys and analyses (definition of landscape values and human needs, definition of risks and threats to the landscape from the point of view of water regime, biodiversity, fragmentation, environmental contamination) and a design stage including in particular the following:
• proposal for the protection and development of landscape values, use of landscape potentials, addressing human needs in the landscape, proposals for problem solving, threat reduction and risk prevention in the landscape in terms of water regime, environmental pollution, biodiversity, fragmentation of the landscape, elements of territorial systems of ecological stability, etc.
• determination of the target vision of the landscape dividing the territory into landscape districts
• establishing the framework conditions of use and recommending measures as principles for shaping the landscape in the monitored landscape districts
